You Never Know (n)
A double headed tonearm reads two drawings etched onto copper plates; Carsten Nicolai's pattern drawing of a quasi-crystal * and Andrea Cellarius' map of the ancient skies**. Each plays on a stereo channel (left and right) through a preamplified signal routed to an amplified speaker.
Each time the set plays the needles hesitate for a short time to finally limit their moves to a short range that generates a given sound pattern.
